Here are 5 ways to improve your home security in Manchester.
- Do not advertise when you are not going to be home
- Do Not leave keys in the front or back door over night or in plain sight
- Make sure you have good quality locks such as British Standard or Anti Snap fitted to your doors
- Do not have a thumb turn cylinder in doors that have a letter box, this can be opened easily by an experienced burglar
- If you have a rim cylinder with a night latch increase security by having a mortice lock fitted as well.
- Do not leave Windows unlocked, and have an extra level of security on your windows if possible, such as sash jammers or cable restrictors
- Do not advertise yourself and your home
